Things to do on the Day of Jummah (Friday)

Assalamwalekum my dear Brother & Sisters, today we will be discussing few important things we should follow on the day of Jummah or Friday. It is one of the most blessed day and everyone should take advantage of that.

Beloved Prophet SalAllahu Alyehe Wasallam said, “Friday is the best of days. It was on this day that Hazrat Aadam Alayhis salaam was created, it was on this day that he was granted entry into Jannah, it was on this day that he was removed from Jannah (which became the cause for man’s existence in this universe, and which is a great blessing), and the day of resurrection will also take place on this day. ” [Sahih Muslim]

Here’s a list of things we should do on the day of Jummah.

Cut nails : Must do before you go to the Masjid for your Jummah Prayer.
Remove pubic and armpit hair: It is obligatory to remove them within every 40 days.
Use Miswaak: And the reward of your Salah will be multiplied by 70.
Have Ghusul: Again purification is must before attending the prayer.
Oil your hair or use scent: One of the most beloved Sunnah of our Prophet SalAllahu Alyehe Wasallam.
Go for Salat ul Jummah early: The angels write down everyone’s name on their list and in the order of priority on who comes first in the Masjid and they stop writing as soon the Imam gives the Khutba and they start to listen to the Imam.
Make a lot of Dua’a (Supplication): There’s a hadith which states there’s an hour in every Jummah day in which Allah will certainly accept your dua, so take advantage of that and do dua which is not against Islam. Best time of dua is between Asr and Maghrib Prayer.
Recite lots of Durood (Salawaat) upon Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم : At least 100 times.
Read Surah Al-Kahf: Surah Number 18 in the Holy Quran. It will take hardly 30 minutes to read.

Make Astaghfar (Seeking forgiveness): At least 100 times and repent sincerely.
Do as many good deeds as possible & refrain from evil: Try to do some charity that day even a smile is considered as a charity in Islam and try to do as much good deeds as possible, no matter how small they look.
